Tunnel vision

Ellie got a 'new' tunnel and is really enjoying going back and forth. Also trying to get the dogs to follow her through!

Yee Haw Texas!!

The latest of our travels took us to Texas. We were able to catch up with friends from Michigan, some we hadn't seen since graduation. It was also my first time to Texas, we had traveled through when I was young on out way to Arizona but never stayed. Elyse, again, was great on the plane. She has been such a great traveler and I am grateful! This way I do not dread going anywhere. Anyway, Texas!

We stayed with our friends the Hatch's. They have a great place that housed us all. "Us all" being Paul, Kori & their 9 month old son Dane. Natalie & her two kids Ava (3) and Alex (1 1/2), Sara ( who is pregnant!), Ed & Jody (who are also expecting!!), and of course Nate, Ellie and I. What a group huh! Here we are...


Ellie had a blast with the kids, especially Dane! She kissed him, poked him in the eye and pulled his hair!! (you can see the video for your self!)

We went to the pool everyday.



Ellie was so exhausted the one night that she fell asleep in her highchair. This was precious in itself but then Dane started talking and Ellie motioned to shh him! It was classic.


The gals had a great time celebrating the pregnant ladies. Friday morning we all went to the spa and got out nails done and then gave the gals a surprise shower! It was a great time!

Saturday we went to the zoo. Ellie loved it, as long as the animals moved!! We also went into the children's zoo where they had a bird feeding area. Ellie loved it and kept trying to grab all the birds we were feeding.

Sunday we celebrated Father's Day, Nate and Paul's first official! (I made the crowns)


Also on Sunday we visited with Mike, Susan and Kate. We had a nice lunch and swam in their pool. Ellie really took to Mike. He also let her drink watermelon lemonade, he knows the way to her heart!

We had such a great time visiting our friends. The only bad thing is that now Nate wants a pool, UGH!!

Cousins visit!

Nate's Sister and her family visited this past weekend. We had a great time and Elyse loved playing with her cousins. Her cousin Samantha is one month older than she is. She was amazed at having someone her size! Ava, who is 2 1/2, kept both girls entertained as well.

We had a busy weekend going to Grant's farm and having a cookout/pool party on Saturday.

Ava also had a great time with our neighbor Stella. I am sure it was nice for her to have someone her age as well.

Then on Sunday we went out to breakfast and had lunch in the park and played on the swings!

It was so nice to have them visit.

Crawling!!!!!!!!!!!!!

San Francisco here we come...

At the end of May we flew out to San Francisco. It was Elyse's first long flight, over three hours. She did very well. Luckily we had an extra seat in our row each time. So Elyse really had her own seat. I think from now on we will plan on getting her a seat for longer flights. Elyse really enjoyed the airplane, especially looking out the window ;)We stayed with Scott and Brooke while we were there. They were nice enough to let us stay the whole week. Elyse enjoyed playing with her cousins Kelley and Ryan. They had breakfast every morning. Elyse loved sitting in her chair high up.

We made it up to wine country while we were there. Usually we go to Sonoma but this time we went into Napa. There is even a winery in Napa ELYSE WINERY, really! We had to stop and get a bottle of wine. We hope it is good, we didn't get to try it because they are by appointment only and were expecting a few groups. At least we could get a bottle;)

We also went to the pool with Kelley, Ryan, Scott and Brooke. It was a bit cool for Ellie but she did get in for a while. Nate had a great time having water fights with Ryan and Scott.

We also went Blackberry and Cherry picking....

Elyse also met William and Andy (and their parents too!). We had dinner on Saturday with Becky, Dan and William at their place in Oakland. On Monday we went to a cookout and Andy's first birthday party!

On Sunday we spent the morning in Sausalito

We had a great time and while we were there Ellie started crawling! Now life is moving......
